Feilding Stock Sale STORE LAMB MARKET FIRMER. Feilding's week of live Btock activity concluded with the weekly sale held on Saturday when an offering of just on 10,000 store lambs was made to a large attendance of operators. Values which had tended to oase earlier in the week recovered and a good sale resulted, the best of the ewe lambs making to 27s 3d. The market for breeding ewes was not as active as earlier activities gave promise and bidding was such as to result in very little business being done. A select line of 40 2-tooth ewes on account of Mr R. E. Meech, of Pongaroa realised £2 9s 6d, the purchaser being Mr J. Collis, of Kairanga. A special entry of wether and ewe lambs from the Manson estate, Stanway, realised 15s and 23s 7d respectively. Fat sheep were in very short supply only three or four pens being yarded and these sold at late rates while the limited offering of fat cattle changed hands at late rates. The store cattle section was made up of potter cows which continue to command good rates. Dairy lines were in short supply.
