Bombproof Shelter In Melbourne Home
FIRST OF ITS KIND IN AUSTRALIA. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph.—CopyrightReceived Sunday, 9.50 p.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 7. For the first time in the history of Australian architecture a bomb-proof shelter has been incorporated in a design for a Melbourne homo. The house has a high concrete tower sunk about seven feet underground with concrete stairs leading down from the large central entrance hall through steel-lined doors to the shelter which will be used for storage.
