For the first time in the history of Australian architecture a bomb-proof shelter has been incorporated in a design for a Melbourne homo. The house has a high concrete tower sunk about seven feet underground with concrete stairs leading down from the large central entrance hall through steel-lined doors to the shelter which will be used for storage.
