Luxury Launch Destroyed by Fire

FIRE IN HUTT VALLEY BOAT SHED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Firo completely gutted tho boat shed el tho llutt Valley Motor Boat Club at daybreak to-day. Two launches were destroyed. Unu owned by Mr E. ilunuau, was valued at about £IOU and the other, owned by Mr Garrood, was vaiuod at about *SOO. The latter was a 32-foot launch luxuriously fitted and practically roudy to take tho water after the owner had spent over £350 on her. The Workshop of the ciub-room con taining a piano and fittings, was dostroyed with tho building which itself was a corrugated iron structure. The slipway was burned. Nothing was insured and the loss to the club and members is estimated at between £IOOO and £I2OO. The fire had k good hold when the brigade arrived.
