Jewellery With Tweeds

It is stated by an English writer that the Duchess of Gloucester has set a new fashion in the wearing of jowellery in the country when in “tailor-mades.” With her tweeds of grey and grey-blue she wore a set of amethysts that were a gift from her family at the time of her wedding. The set consists of a broach, short earrings, ring, and bracelet, the brooch being worn in her hat. The Queen also has departed from tradition in this direction. With the handwoven tweeds of wme-colour that havo a silver grey line running through them, the Queen wore garnet jewellery. This is a family heirloom, and looks particularly well in country auroundings.
