FOUR OCCUPANTS ABOARD SEARCH PLANE ALSO CRASHES United Tress Association—By Electric Telegra ph.—Copyrigh t. Received Thursday, 9.20 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 3. A dozen aeroplanes, including Air Force machines, fruitlessly searched a wide area in Southern Scotland throughout the day for a De Havilland aeroplane chartered hf the Daily Express for a survey of the projected internal air routes throughout Britain which has heen missing since it left Renfrew on Tuesday for Liverpool. It had four men aboard, namely the newspaper’s aeronautical correspondent, Harold Pemberton; the photographer, R. C. Wesley; the radio correspondent, T. H. Philpott, acting as wireless operator; and the pilot, Leslie Jackson. One of the searching Air Force machines crashed in the Lanarkshire uplands, the pilot and observer being injured and sent to hospital. The machine was badly damaged. The search is being resumed at
