LATEST FREAK IN AMERICA United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyrigh t. Received Thursday, 10.30 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 3. The new ‘ * sit-down ’ ’ technique has been applied to romance. Harold Hulen, aged 30, a salesman, kept vigil in an apartment house lobby at Excelsior yprings, Missouri, chained and padlocked to a radiator vowing that he would not leave until Florence Hurlbut, aged 20, a resident of the apartment, consented to marry him.
