Tho substantial increase in the horse classes is particularly gratifying, as farmers nowadays are devoting more attention to thoir use on tho farms. Entries in tho .Southdown sheep section arc so numerous that the services of an
extra judge will bo necessary, while Romneys also number 100. Dog fanciers have availed themselves eagerly of the opportunity of getting the opinion of a visiting judge to New Zealand, Captain Hughes. Visitors from outside districts can start forth for Dannovirke fully confident that tho show will be an outstanding one, whilo the entertainment at the evening sessions should afford variety and relaxation. Tho entries for the ram fair ou Thursday, February 11, are numerous, and patrons should appreciate the convenience of tho new rostrum, erected at a cost of several hundred pounds.
