Women and Children First in Next War

WILL TAKE ARMY TO QUELL PANIC. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyrlaht. Received Wednesday, 9.5 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 2. Addressing the British Commonwealth League luncaeon BrigadierGeneral F. P. Crozier said women and children were the first casualties of modern warfare. Bombing ’planes always got through, therefore the Air Force was manufacturing more of these than interceptor machines. An aerial war over England would be such that an army would be required to control the populace when it rioted and went mad in gas masks. He understood that the half-crown gas masks for the public were safe, but those issued to servicemen cost 80s apiece.
