Cattle Sickness

DEPARTMENT WATCHING POSITION The Alinister of Agriculture advised the Manawatu Executive of the Farmers' Union yesterday, when replying to a letter from the executive in the matter of "three day sickness” that has been affecting cattle in parts of Australia during recent weeks, that the Department of Agriculturo was keeping in touch with the position. Cattle from the mainland of Australia were not permitted entry into New Zealand. Cattle may be imported from Tasmania where cattle so far had not been afflicted.
