Princess Elizabeth’s Part In Coronation

Princess Elizabeth will probably take part in the Royal Procession in the coronation. Princess Margaret, on account of her age, is expected only to “attend” the ceremony. Princess Elizabeth, who will then bo 11 years old, may lead the procession of Princes and Princesses of tho Blood Royal. She will probably wear a coronet, which she 1 will place on her head when Queen I Elizabeth is crowned. If the Princess appears in the proI cession she will also wear a robe of her I rank and bo attended by members of the Royal Household. She will do homage by placing her coronet on her head when the Queen is crowned —tho homage performed by members of the feminine sex. Although heir-presump-tive sho will not do homage with the peers, one reason being that she is a minor. The King and Quecu and probably Princess Elizabeth will bo central figures in the most notable dress rehearsal of the year—that for the ey pageant.

All those taking part will attend at the Abbey in their robes after the Abbey decorations are completed, and only a few days before the actual ceremony. They will go through tho whole of the elaborate ritual of tbe various processions and the actual ceremonies. The dress rehearsal will follow a series of “sectional” rehearsals for groups of people engaged on different duties or appearing in different processions.
