DALGETY AND CO.’S REPORT Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale when they submitted a large entry of sheep (1800) to a good attendance of the public, bidding being very spirited. A very good line of 138 shorn w.f. wether lambs on account Estate J. H. George realised 19s 3d and a very good line of b.f. lambs on account of Mr. Jas. Fulcher (Pongaroa) realised 22s Bd. We were successful in disposing of the whole of our entry under the hammer. The following prices were realised:— Forty woolly wether lambs, 15s 9d; 40 ewe lambs, 22s 9d; 19 m.s. lambs (small), 11s 3d; 138 shorn wether lambs, 19s 3d; 423 shorn wether lambs, lGs 8d; 31 wether lambs (small), 11s 6d; 113 shorn wether lambs (small), 8s 3d; 95 wether lambs (small), 8s; 38 wether iambs (small), 6s 8d; 21 two-tooth ewes (small) 23s 9d; 136 cull ewe lambs, 13s; 27 cull ewe lambs, 7s 6d; 23 wether lambs (small), 8s 7d; 56 woolly ewe lambs, 16s 4d; 65 woolly wether lambs, 14s 4d; 67 woolly wether lambs, 15s lOd; 20 woolly wether lambs, 10s 9d; 57 wethers (good), 26s Id; 60 wether lambs, 14s lid; 55 ewe lambs, 255; 20 ewe lambs, 18s 3d; fat ewes, 16s 6d; 36 b.f. lambs, 22s 8d; 29 two-tooth wethers, 23s 2d; 59 b.f. lambs, 16s lOd; 36 shorn wether lambs, 10s 4d. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., report on the weekly sale held on Tuesday when a good yarding of lambs came forward and met with good competition. Good quality lambs sold above late rates. A particularly attractive pen of woolly wether lambs on account of B. K. Bamford, Konini, realised 22s 3d. Medium lambs showed depreciation on previous quotations. Principal sales comprised: On account VVm. Hull, woolly wether lambs, 17s 6d, ewe lambs, 245; on account B. K. Bamford, woolly wether lambs, 22s 3d, shorn ewe lambs (small), 17s 4d; on account Smart’s Estate, small shorn wether lambs, 12s 7d, small ewe lambs, 19s 7d; on account J. G. Woodhouse (in conj.), small ewe lambs, 22s 6d, do. wether lambs, 15s lOd; on account Mrs. Wilcox, small ewe lambs, 24s 3d, do. wether lambs, 16s lOd; on account T. Baron, fat wethers, 265. Other lines: Medium wether lambs, J4s to 16s 9d; medium ewe lambs, 20s to 21s 9d.
