Rowland Hill Centenary

CELEBRATIONS NEXT MONTH , (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Feb. 1. The centenary will be celebrated next month of the issue by PostmasterGeneral Rowland Hill in 1937, of his for te reform of te hhhhhn historic pamphlet containing proposals for the reform of the Post Office which laid the foundations of the present vast organisation. His influence was worldwide for his uniform postage scheme was the first practical step towards the foundation of what has been described as the world's most comprehensive Society of Nations, namely, the Universal Postal Union.
