Decrease of £BOBI at Takapuna
RALPH HANDICAP WON BY TYBALT ANNIVERSARY TO RESPECTFUL Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Jan. 30. The Takapuna Jockey Club's summer meeting was completed at Ellerslie to-day and the attendance was 11,000. The track was holding early, improving later, and the totalisator handled £33,873, as compared with £36,523 last year. The figures for the meeting were £52,943 10s, as against £61,024 10s last year, there being a decrease of £BOBI. After Tybalt had moved out first Gay Broney and Knight of Australia took up the running and they led into the straight from Kelly, Tybalt and Gay Tailrie. Tybalt finished attractively to win by three-quarters of a length, Royal Appellant and Knight of Australia being a similar distance back dead heated for third, being followed by Con Fuoco and Gay T^kie. Mata Hari attempted to win all the way and led into the straight from Lady's Boy, Nun Nicer, Trune, Armacourt, Sweet Rose and High Tea. In a groat race home High Tea won by £alf a length from Mata Hari who led Armaeourt by three-quarters of a length. Triune was fourth followed by Sweet Rose and Kilberis.
