IMPROVED PRICES RECORDED. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative Distributing Co., Ltd., Feilding, advise having received the following cablo from their London office: Wool sales closed to-day. Closing values in the following order: •Superior, medium to good, inferior to medium greasy Merinos: Is 10$d to 2s 2sd; Is 6d to Is lOd: Is sd* to Is 4Ad; scoured Merinos, 2s 7a to 3s Id; 2s 2£d to 2s 6d; Is 8d to 2s 2d; greasy crossbreds, Is 8d to Is 9}d; Is 4d to Is 7d; Is 2d to Is 3id; scoured crossbreds, Is 11 Jd to 2s 7d; Is 9Jd to 2s; Is 3d to Is 9d; slipes, Is 9d to 2s Id; Is 6£d to Is lOd; Is 6d to Is lOd. Total sold, 90,000 bales; to Homo trade, 45,000 bales; to Continent, 43,000 bales; to America, 2000 bales; carried forward, 11,000 bales.

Tho N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having received the following cable from their London office, under date January 27, 1937: The sales closed firmly to-day. There is good all round competition. As compared with last sale's closing rates prices are higher par to 3d per lb. for super greasy Merino and super scoured Merino; higher Ad to Id per lb. for medium greasy Merino and inferior greasy Merino; higher Id to ljd per lb. for medium scoured Merino, greasy crossbred and inferior scoured Merino; higher 2d to 23d pel Jb. for scoured crossbred, medium crossbred slipe and fine crossbred slipe; higher 2Jd to 3d per lb. for coarse crossbred slipe; higher lAd to 2d per lb. for Merino and 1 crossbred lambs.
