. LONDON MARKETS’ FIRM TONE LONDON, Jan. 28. The butter market in London during the past week has been quiet but firm in tone, and on the cheese market a tendency to firmness has been evident. Current quotations are as follow, those previously cabled being included in parentheses:— Butter; Danish, HGs (113 s). Choicest salted: New Zealand, 90s (88s), Australian, 96s ((90s to 91s); Australian, 92s to 93s (90s to 91s). Cheese: New Zealand: White, 51s 6d (53s Gd); coloured, 57s (52s 6d to 535). Australian: White, 50s 6d (525); coloured, 50s (51s Gd).
