As Others See Us
Mrs Alec Tweed ie, the English authoress, who was in Auckland some weeks ago, has arrived back in Melbourne, still in tho Strathnaver, after having seen in New Zealand all she missed seeing in Australia, she told a writer in an Australian paper. She was very amused to think she didn't see a sheep in Australia on her way through to New Zealand, and more amused at not having seen a rabbit! She saw plenty of sheep in New Zealand, though, because she was shown a flock being shorn. But even there only one rabbit came her way. She continued her paintings of Australian bits and pieces in Brisbane, where she did a picture of poinciana, and it will go into her Paris show on her return to Europe, she says.
