Miss May Hancock Happily Entertained
A number of friends gathered at the homo of Miss Sheila Whitehouse on Wednesday evening -when Mis* Whitehouse entertained Miss May Hancock, who is being married in Wellington tomorrow to Mr W. W. Smith. Miss Whitehouse received her guests wearing a becoming frock of navy blue georgette finished with a spray of field flcwers, while the guest of honour chose floral georgette in green tonings. A very pleasant evening was spent iu games and competitions and a delicious savoury supper was served. On behalf of those present Miss Whitehouse asked Miss Hancock to accept two crystal vases with the very best wishes for her future happiness. Miss Hancock briefly replied. Among those present were Mrs R. Bailey, Misses M. Richards, N. Moore, N. Smillie, Z. Autridge, M. Cooksley, V. and D. Berryman, M. Currie, F. Edwards, T. Holmes and K. Richards.
