To Lead Dominion Troops at Coronation
MAJOR WEIR AS OFFICER IN CHARGE Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Although no official announcement has yet been made, it is understood that Major N. W. McD. Weir, staff officer in charge of military training and staff duty at General Headquarters, Wellington, has been chosen to lead the New Zealand contingent for the Coronation in London. The second in command will be Captain L. W. Andrew, V.C., Adjutant of the Wellington Regiment. Two other members of the permanent staff will be chosen, one of whom will be a Sergeant-Major. Both these appointments will, it is understood, be filled from the North Island.
