Mad Elephant Causes Stampede
ONE HUNDRED TRAMPLED UNDERFOOT. COLOMBO, January 27. One hundred women and children and an aged man were trampled underfoot in a panic caused when a mad elephant stampeded 20,000 devotees at a JJuddhisfc festival.
