I Picnic parties to Fort William, at •Stewart Island, at present are obtaining enjoyment from searching for wild I ripe strawberries growing under the Trass. These are a reminder of bygone -lays when the Government furnished prospective settlers with stores and lruit trees to encourage settlement.
