QUESTION OF OFFICIAL LANGUAGE. GENEVA, January 26. Rustu Aras explained that he was forced to break off negotiations regarding Alexandretta, because while an agreement was reached on all other points, France was unwilling that Turkish be the official language of the inhabitants. DISPUTE ENDED. GENEVA, Jan. 26. The last point in the I'ranco-Turkisii dispute over Alexandretta has been settled by an agreement that Turkish shall be the official language. The League Council is to decide how far any other language shall be employed.
