Amelia Earhart to Circle Globe
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 9.5 p.m. LOS ANGELES, Jan. 25. Mrs Amelia Earhart Putnam, the famous American flier, -announces her intention of flying round the wordl. She has tentatively made plans to follow the China clipper route across the Pacific on the first leg of the flight. She said she had abandoned her intention of visiting Australia due to the lack of suitable landing fields and her desire to make the nearest possible equatorial circuit. Purdue University is financing the flight.
