English Soccer Teams Tour of Dominion
MATCH FOR NAPIER OR WANGANUI Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Details of the tour of New Zealand during May and June next by the Eng lisli Amateur Association football team were discussed at a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Football Association to-day. The tours committee reported that arrangements hud been concluded with the Football Association of Loudon whereby the English team would play nine matches in New Zealand and eight in Australia. Tho stay of the team will i be five weeks in New Zealand and four in Australia. The following itinerary has been drawn up provisionally:— Saturday, May 29: v. Auckland, at Auckland. Wednesday, June 2: v. Hawke’s Bay, at Napier, or v. Wanganui, at Wanganui. Saturday, June 5: Test match at Wellington. Wednesday, June 9: v. Otago, at Dunedin. Saturday, June 12: Test match at Dunedin. Wednesday, June 16: v. Southland, at Invercargill. Saturday, June 19: v. Canterbury, at Christchurch. Wednesday, June 23: v. Wellington at Wellington. Saturday, June 26: Test match at Auckland. Iho team will probably arrive at Auckland on Friday, May 21, and in order that they may recover from the trip the suggestion is that they bo taken on a sightseeing trip to Rotorua. The team will leave New Zealand for Sydney from Auckland on Saturday, June 26, the boat being delayed from Friday for that purpose.
