Mr. lan Nairn, of Wellington,, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Nairn, Makino.
Miss Iris Crooke, returned to Marton yesterday after a holiday spent in Marlborough.
Miss Ngaire Mackie, of Palmerston North, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs U. Tonkin, France road, Napier.
Miss Annette Bristow left Palmerston North on Sunday to spend a seaside holiday with some girl friends at Paekakariki.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ross and their family, West street, Feilding, have returned from a holiday spent at the Paraparaumu beach.
His many friends will regret to learn that Mr. E. Pearson is an inmate of the Feilding private hospital and will wish him a speedy recovery from his illness.
Miss Marjorie Millar of Whakarongo, who has been on a motoring tour in the Auckland province, returned home at the end of last week.
Mrs Noel Robinson has returned to her home in Foxton after a short stay with her parents, Mr and Mrs W. S. Maunder, 1 Fern Glen, Ashhurst.
Miss Elizabeth Loe, tutor to the New Zealand branch of the British Drama League, has been the guest of Mr and Mrs A. Crooke, at Marton, and returned to Wellington yesterday.
Mrs. W. E. Hills, “Highland Park,” Makino, had as her guests over the week-end the Misses Lilian and Margaret Heaven, of Wellington, and Mr. Lloyd Gray, of Bulls.
Mrs Lewis, accompanied by her daughter Valda, of Remuera, Auckland, is staying with her sister, Mrs Ormond Doel, Rongopai street, Palmerston North. _ ... ....
Mrs. F. Reid, of Hamilton, who has been on a visit to Mrs. P. R. Simpson, of Makino, returned home on Sunday night, accompanied by Misses Gloria and Zona Reid, w-ho have been on a holiday visit of some weeks to relatives in Makino.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Mundy, of Ongley street, Feilding, left last night for Rotorua on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Bcrnasconi before taking up their residence at Mangaweka, Mr. Mundy having been transferred there by the Railway Department.
Miss Edith Kempthorne, daughter of the late Archdeacon Kempthorne, of Nelson, who has been re-visiting the Dominion, was the guest of of her aunt, Mrs R. C. Tennent at Wooaville last week-end before leaving on her return to America. Miss Kempthorne has spent a very busy and interesting life and her headquarters for the “Camp For Girls,” are now in New York.
