ELABORATE ARRANGEMENTS. Splendid entries have been received in all sections at the Marton A. and P. Association’s show, to bo held on the Marton Racecourse to-day. At the Marton ram fair on the racecourse between 600 and 700 rams will be offered for auction by well-known vendors in the Rangitilcei and Manawatu districts. Numerous side-shows of all descriptions have booked space and should provide plenty of amusement for young and old. There will also be a number of trade exhibitions, including work for the Blind Institute of Auckland. A ladies’ rest room will be under the supervision of the Plunket Committee. In the evening an entertainment has been arranged on an elaborate scale and the performances by the Wanganui Pipe Band will be well worth witnessing, whilst a number of the leading Scottish dancers have signified their intention of taking part in tho Highland fling, Highland reel and sailors’ hornpipe. The fireworks display should provide thrills for the youngsters. Special attention has been paid to the lighting of the grounds in the evening with flood lights and coloured illuminations.
