City Band Affairs

CONFERENCE DELEGATES CHOSEN. Present at tho last meeting of the City Band were:—Messrs Kells (chairman), O’Hara, McCulloch, Bradley, Greening, Low, Brice, Beattie, Gillespie, Kerr and the hon. secretary. An apology was received from Mr Rabone. Mr Dennison’s resignation was accepted with regret. It was decided to endeavour to hold a Sunday night concert on February 7. Mr Kells was elected chairman of the executive in place of Mr Burns.

Mr Greening moved a remit to Brass Bands’ Association conference to the effect that more suitable music bo chosen for B grade bands in future. Messrs O’Hara and Congrovo were elected delegates to the conference.
