RATE PAYMENT 3. The town clerk reports a mild rush in the payment of rates, the sum of £1360 17s 7d having been paid during the past week, making a total of £BGI-i 10s Gd for the year, or 54 per cent, ol tho amount owing. Monday, the Ist proximo, is the last day before th'b addition of the ten per cent, penalty. Dog Registration. Dog owners are reminded by advertisement that registration for the current year is now due. There will be no canvassing this year and registration in all cases will require to be arranged at the borough office.
