Of Local Interest
A transport lorry laden with wood for Wellington left tho road near Hamua early yesterday morning through a tyre bursting. A power pole was cut in tvfO, due to the load striking it. The lorry was able to proceed on its journey after adjustments were made. The driver of the truck considered himself very lucky as the live wires broke and fell away from the vehicle.
