WOODVILLE DISTRICT JOCKEY CLUB.

AUTUMN MEETING. The Woodville District Jockey Club’s autumn, meeting ■will be held on Saturday and Monday, Tebtuary 20 and 22, and nominations for all events are due on Monday week. The programme has been circulated and there Is an all-round Increase in stakes, the additional amount involved being equal to the full extent of the profit from the December meeting. The principal event on the first day is the Woodville Handicap, which carries a stake of £2OO. Next in importance is the Ruahine Handicap, the open sprint, the prize for which is £l5O. On the second day are the Autumn Handicap and the Telegraph Handicap, the stakes for which are £IBO and £l4O. Taken all through it is a very attractive programme, and fine weather and another successful meeting will result in a further increase in stakes for next December.
