Tragedy on Mt. Egmont
WELLINGTON YOUTH’S BODY FOUND. Per Press Association. STRATFORD, Last Night. The body of the youth Matthews, of Wellington, who had been missing on Mount Egmont since Tuesday afternoon, w.*s found this morning in a branch of the Mangonui Gorge. Death had followed a fall which caused extensive injuries. The body was brought to Stratford at 2 p.m. An inquest was opened, and after tion of the body, was adjourned. The deceased apparently fell a considerable distance when returning from the summit.
