Norsewood Stock Sale

Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale at Norsewood when they offered a big yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle and pigs to a good attendance of tho public. The sheep offering, which comprised chiefly of lambs, met with good competition and a total clearance was effected at tho following prices:— Sheep: Forty 2-th wethers, 235; SS 2-th wethers, 21s 7d; 107 wether lambs. ISs Gd; small wether lambs, 10s 4d; 29 ewe lambs, 29s sd; 179 ewe lambs, 24.3 3d; small ewe lambs, 17s Id; IG4 b.f. lambs, ISs; medium b.f. lambs, 14s 7d; small- b.f. lambs, 9s. Cattle: Store Jersey cows, £3 2s Gd to £3 9s; Jersey bulls, £5 Is. Pigs: Good weaner pigs, 17s to 20s; others, 9s to 16s. The Hawke's Bay Farmers’ Co-op. Association, Ltd., report having offered a medium yarding of lambs and a small one of cattlo and pigs at the Norsewood sale, held on the 18th inst. All classes of stock sold at late rates, enabling us to effect a total clearance at prices ranging as follow: Fat ewes. ,£1; ewe lambs, £1 Js Gd, £1 3s Gd to £1 5s id; wether lambs, 17s 7d, 18s, 18s 7d, 19s to 19s 3d; smaller lambs, 13s Gd to 16s 9d; S.D. lambs, 15s Gd, 16s, 17s 5d to 18s 3d. Fat cows, £-1 2s to £-1 17s; store cows, £2 to £3 ss; bulls, £3 10s to £4 15s. Weaner pigs, 16s Gd to £1 3s.
