N.Z. FARMERS’ DISTRIBUTING COMPANY’S REPORT

The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing, Co., Ltd., report a full yarding of .sheep and a fair entry of pigs offered at their Pahiatua weekly sale. Prices were maintained on the previous week and although there was a heavy yarding we report practically a total clearance on our portion of the yarding of over 2000 sheep. Most of the sheep were purchased locally which evidently proves the abnormal growth of grass in and surrounding the Pahiatua district, Quotations: — On account J. D. Gupwell estate:, b.f. lambs. 21s Id; w.f. shorn wether lambs, 19s and 15s. On account Davie Bros., w.f. wetiier lambs, ISs 9d; small ewe lambs, 20s sd. On account S. Silk, b.f. lambs, 20s Gd. On account A. Hoggard and son, medium w.f. wether lambs, 17s Sd. On account T. Daken, w.f. wether lambs, 17s, small wether lambs, 13s 7d; b.f., 17s. On account J. Anderson, medium wether lambs, 16s 7d; small, 12s 4d; ewe lambs, 22s 9d. On account C. J. Mann, ewe lambs, 25s 3d; small b.f. lambs, 16s Id. On account D. G. Lynch, small tail-end lambs, 13s 4d. account Jas. Breeds, small tail-end ewe lambs, 17s. Prices realised for other sales were: Small ewe lambs, 27s 4d, 19s, 18s Gd; small b.f. lambs, 16s, 15s Gd, 14s; small wether lambs, 14s Gd, 13s, 12s. Pigs: Slips, 18s, 16s; weaners. 1-ls 6d; stores, JBs, 20s, 275. N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on the weekly sale held on Tuesday when tho firm offered a large yarding of lambs to a good attendance of buyers. Good condition iambs'sold up to late rates, while medium lambs were easier. A pen. of wellgrown shorn wether lambs on account of W. W. Day, Makomako, realised 19s Id, and an attractive pen of woolly wether lambs on account of J. Y. Crawford realised 19a lid. Ewe lambs were in keen demand. The firm offered 3200 lambs and prices quoted are as follow: Southdown lambs: On account F. E. Ward, 21s lid; on account R. bpoonley, 18s 8d; on account A. H. Ahrens, 19s; on account J. Bombry, 21s lOd; on account W. F. Day, 18s Id; on account Vol Tripe, 18s. Woolly wether lambs: On account J. Y. Crawford, 19s Id; on account R. Spoonley, 20s 2d; on account Styles Bros., 18s Id; on account H. H. Godfrey, 14s lOd (small). Shorn wether lambs: On account W. W. Day, 19s Id; on account W. Mitchell, 18s 3d; on account W. F.
