Received in Australia with as much enthusiasm as was “Rose Mairio’’ tho new J. C. Williamson musical play “Tip Toes” which will be played at the Opera House, Palmerston ‘ North for one night only on Tuesday next was hailed everywhere with the greatest’ enthusiasm. After the first night of “Tip Toes’’ in Melbourne, a critic wrote—“ The Action of “Tip Toes” was frequently interrupted by demands for numerous encores, both for tho musical numbers and the wonderful- dancing, and at tho close of tho performance each of the principal artists had to come before tho curtain to bow their acknowledgments to the applause of the delighted audience.” A sensation was created by Josephine Hoad, Mdlle. Ramona and Albert Hugo, international dancers from tho Folios Borgere, Paris, whoso brilliant dancing proved a revelation to Australian, playgoers. The company to represent “Tip Toes” has been selected with great care and regardless of cost. Tho two principal comedians are Mr. Cecil Kellaway and Mr. R. Barrett-Lcnnard, both of whom wero instrumental in making “Hatja” and “Frasquita” successful in New Zealand and Australia. Miss Beryl Walkeley last appeared here very successfully in “Lilac Time’’ and M!iss Thelma Burness in “ Wildflower” and “Katja.” Others in the cast aro Mr. Lcyland' Hodgson, baritone, Mr. Roy Russell and Mr. George Welsh, all of whom are well known krtists.

“QUEEN HIGH.” .The Company’s second production on Wednesday is the first presentation here of the very latest musical comedy triumph “Queen High,” which comes direct from a remarkably successful Melbourne Season. The music of “Queen High’’ is deliciously tuneful, its plot is well constructed, the comedy is genuinely humorous, and special features are the magnificent scenery and gorgeous frockings and electrical effects.
