A Committee meeting of the above was held last eveaing m Walkley's Ho.el, Present— Messrs J. ling, clrurraan, Pratt, Cayerhill, W, Akers; itfu* tban and T. King. la the absence of the books of the Club it w»b unanimously resolved that the printed tniautes which appeared m the Mawawatu Daily Tims-, of Oct. 27, be accepted as a correct record of the preceding meeting and be confirmed accordingly, Mr W. Akera requested information from the Chairman as to the reason why Me Walton's services as Secretary were dispensed with, which being given, he expressed himself satisfied, After considering the applications for the secretaryship it was unanimously resolved that Mr J. King be requested to act as honorary secretary with the understanding that the memberspf Gom T mitree afford any assistance necessary; It was resolved on the motion of Mr Akers seconded by Mr Caferhill, That ' Mr Pratt be elected chairman of committee. It was resolved that the chair uitLu and bonorary'seoretary make a second application to Mr Walton requesting him to deliver' up forthwith all books, docu« ments, &c. tbe property ol the .Club, and should he refuse to do so, they be au» thonsed to t ke what steps they deem .advisable for recovery of same.
