We publish the, following extracts from the report", of. the Inspector, Mr Bindon :— Below Standard L Examined 27. Work satisfactory. Beading very good. Standard I. Examined 9, passed 9. Percentage 100. Work m general very good. In reading, the words were prononnced very clearly, but it would be well to ask for a little expression, and to have the proper word* read m conjunction, and not so methodically. Standard 11. Examined 12, passed 12. Percentage 190. In reading, more attention should be paid to inflection of the voice and punctuation; Arithmetic very good, and alt secured passing marks. Geography was well and intelligently known. Standard 111. Examined 7. Passed 7. Percentage. 100, • Reading, Dictation, Geography , and History very good. Writing very good and neat, and the work nicely arranged. Geography and History very good indeed. Standard IV. Examined 7. Passed 5. Percentage 71*4. Reading and Spelling, m some cases weak. Writing very good. Arithmetic generally fair. In Grammar, Parts of >Speech well known. , ' Standard V. Examined 3. Passed 2. Percentage 66*6. Two candidates sent m generally fair work. In Gram mat the passing was good, Standard VI. Examined 3. Passed 3. , Percentage 100, Arithmetic tad with two candidates, remainder of the subjects very fair, especially the: writing. Passing gdod; : Papers ' very neat. Clara Randolph's work excellent. Needlework, eery good and kept very clean. This branch is under the im« mediate superintendence of Miss Lucj Randolph, Recitation, good. . Exercise hooks very ne*t, Copy books with large' hand should not be used.
