GIROLA YACHT PARTY.
The above company appeared m the Foresters' Hall last evening to a fair house. The first piece pro-* duced was a comedietta, '♦ The Artists' Studio." which went fairly well, Mr Millis next engaged the attention of the audience, with his feats m veutriloquism and it is needless to say that this portion of the entertainment was well worth the money. He is decidedly a master of the art, and his jokes are always new. Perhaps the best feat last evening was the singing of " The Major General's Song" from " Patience," the rapid enunciation required being sufficiently trying even to those who sing m their natural^ voice without essaying a ventriloquial exhibition. Ab a matter cf fact, Mr Millia is the mainstay of the Yacht party, and without him, we fear they would be speedily wrecked. Miss Tottie Verne's " skipping rope dance" was a clever performance and was. we!l received. Miss Agnes Montagu's "lightuing changes" came to a somewhat abrupt termination, and this prevented the audience frorc. judging as to their merits. In the concluding' farce "The Devils' Glen," Mr Millis made the part of " Puffy "" red eem the Weakness of all the lest. The company appear again this evening m an altered programme.
