OVER SHOOTING THE MARK.
These such a thing as over-shooting, the mark, and that is just what Mr. Snelson's opponents have succeeded m doing. " A Scandinavian document wss concocted lavishing the most coarse and filthy abuse upou him m the hope to catch the votes' of. the electors, who did not kpoy; English sufliuiently well to interpret the election addresses for themselves. But the blow has recoiled upon the contemptible schemers who aimed it, for a revulsion has set m, and those who had not determined to vote for Mr. Snelson will do so for him tooth and nail. Since the receipt of the secret document; we' have been hourly interviewed by our Scandinavian fellowgdttlers, anxious to lodge their protest against the unmanly, cowaidfy stab m the dark made against Mr. Snelson, and "ifwe'l only wished we could have filled our columns with indignant denunciations m the Scandinavian language.
