The Tbmpbbanob Movement.— A public meeting, under the auspices \ of the Flower .of Feilding Lodge of Q-ood Templars, will be held m the Schoolroom to-morrow evening. : Nbw Bank PBBMisBS.— The new branch Bank of New Zealand at Halcombe is now finished, and a very ornamental building it is. Mr. J. T. Anderson, of Wanganui, has been entrusted with the furnishing throughout. .""..- ■ ■ Another Bank Agbnct.— We understand that an 'agency of the Bank pf New Zealand will be opened shortly m Feilding. The premises which have been m the possession of tbe bank for some months post,, are m Ferguson street, within. a stone's -throw of the Post and Telegraph Offices. Volunteering-.— There will be a meeting of the Feilding Volunteer ßifles this evening m the sample room of the Denbigh, Hotel, for the purpose of enrolling and swearing m /.members, electing officers, and transacting other business. There is a probability that Major Noake will be present, and a full attendance of those who signed the requisition is particularly requested. ; Show .ot Meat. — There was . a splendid show of meat, at Mr. WhiskerY establish- j ment on Friday night. "There were four j bullocks, bred by Mr. Donald Froser, averaging HOOlbs each : and about a score -of sheep, the smallest of which turned the "scale at, 801bs. The display, as far as quality goes, would do no discredit to one of the large shops m the Empire City, while the quantity speaks well for- the prosperity of our labouring population.
