Tuesday. The annual report of the Wellington Gass Co. shews available profit for the year of over £51)00. The directors recommend the payment of the percentage on last half year, and on new capital 10 per cent, from date of payineuL The Union Bank advertise a dividend of 16 per- cent. The cricket mateh — Australian v. Wellington — continued. Australians required only 10 to win, and these were obtained with the loss of oie wicket. The single-innings match then began, Wellington being sent to the wickets. There was a remarkable improvement m their play as compared with the previous two days. Webb, who scored 27, remained m for about 60 overs. Kennedy made 30; Salmon, 25. The Australians made seven changes m bowling, but the Wellington team was not put out till 5.30, when the score was 213. The stumps were drawn half an hour after the Australians went m, only 9 having been made. The match is not likely to be continued tomorrow.
