that Mr Maysmor was allowed by the other Wardens to incur a larger expenditure than the Ward Was fairly en* titled to before the rates were collected. 'A meeting (which was privately convened by circular) : was held at the Denbigh Hotel; on Thursday evening, to appoint a committee to get up ath« letic sports at Feilding for Boxing Day, but as I consider that the promoters did not intend it as a public meeting, nor that their proceedings should be re* corded by those who represent the Press at Feilding, I refrain from giving you any report of it until I can learn it I am really . correct m supposing that it is the wish of the promoters that their proceedings should be left unreported.
