Brawshaw reports : — Bank of New Zealand shares, £20 I7s*6d ; Colonial Bank, £2 3s to £2 4s. New -Zealand Insurance, £o j 'South- British, £4 10s ; National, £1 12s ; Standard, 11s. Shipping, £3 17s. OheistchtteoHj Friday.^ The grain market is very active, owing to a scarcity of good milling wheat and oats, millers advanced on flour and oatmeal one and two pounds respectively." Best milling wheat, 6s 6d to'7s ; flour, £17 to £18 s bra*, £4 10s ; sharps, £5 10s ; oats, 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; oatmeal, £18, in 251b bags ; potatoes, £3 5s j, cheese, 7d; .hams and bacon, 8d in cloth j barley dull.
