An Australian paper relates that a man who was bitten m the leg by a snake tied a cord above the wound, and then cut a piece of the flesh out. To stop bleeding he walked into a creek, where he soon noticed that a large number of black leeches assailed him. These dropped off dead, evidently through the poison. The man subsequently swallowed a large dose' of brandy, and got belter.-
