The body of Henry Pyle, aged fifteen, who died of typhoid fever, remained four days unburied. The mother was unable, through poverty, to bury it. The Mayor of Richmond ordered the Government undertaker to bury the body. A mam named James Ellis was killed on the Deniliquin railway.
