March 15. J. D. J). Jackson, writing to the. "Herald," contradicts Onslow's statement that a patient named Cresswell, m the Parramatta Asylum, is Arthur Orton. He says the patient has no tattoo marks on his arm, and his ears are not pierced as Orton's were, according to Onslow's showing. Much alarm has been 'caused by a case of small-pox at Wallgett, the sufferer being covered with variola from head to foot.
