A letter from the Minister of Justice ha's been received here stating that the Government will at once cbnsider the law which prevents absentees from being sued m Magistrates' Courts without the consent of their attorney, and will take measures to amend it. Pooley.one of the English cricketers,arrived here this morning from Dunedin to ansWer a charge of assault on a man with Whom lie had a dispute about a bet.
