AUCKLAND.
; January 27. There are a large number of entries for the Auckland regatta. It is expected to be the best that has been held m Auckland for., years. On the arrival, of the Jdl England Cricketei's this morning at Onehunga,
they were met at the wharf by a drag withisix- greys r and a four-horse drag "and band of musicians." Bennett introduced the cricketers to the Auckland team. ThTe band an original song, " Welcome to Kew Zealand," with spirited chorus. ;. T-he v team were then driven round the town, aiid afterwards went to practice on the ground.
