Sib, — Your correspondent " Jacobus Fils" m your last issue commenced: his letter by apparently measuring another man's ambitions with* his own,; without considering that the class of gentlemen m an English community that are ambitiotis of occupying the unthankful office of 'a' representative of other people's conflicting interests are really-very few m number, although they manage to get up a great noise sometimes. What the people want is good government, and they generally do not care who fills, the : office as long as they are satisfied that their interests are cared for.
