A Sydney cable says that owing to rain and a heavy track the Ascot races were postponed from Wednesday until next Thursday Landlaw, one of the most fancied horses, was scratched from the Metropolitan yesterday, owing to signs of lameness. He will return to Melbourne. The New Zealand horse Beaupartir is returning home on the earliest boat.
