STUD STOCK SALE

JERSEY BULLS AND HEIFERS. KEEN DEMAND EVIDENT. There was a'keen demand in the early stages of the 18th annual Manawatu bull and heifer sale, conducted at the Showgrounds to-day by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Etd.. and Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and the prices favoured vendors. The offering comprised 78 head, made up of 20 bulls of two years and over, 54 yearling bulls, and, four heifers, all the stock being of pedigree strain. The first dozen offerings averaged 31 l-3gns., and the highest price ; secured up to noon was 49gns, paid by Mr J. A. Russell (Kairanga) for Heatherlea Foxtrot, a two-year-old bull sold by Mr H. J.
