BERLINERS IN SHELTERS.
LONDON, Sept,. 30. Berliners spent an hour and 50 minutes in the shelters last night. No batteries came into action, and no planes were heard. Neutral correspondents in Berlin see sinister significance in the authorities’ advice to citizens to obtain gasmasks. The implication that the British might use gas has caused much speculation.
